second batch of jam

Second go at jam, and this time it set. Did the cold-plate test, the one the internet swears by, dropping a bit onto a saucer I'd had in the freezer and pushing it with a finger to see if it wrinkled. When it finally did I felt a flare of triumph way out of proportion to the thing itself. Then I took it off the the heat straight away instead of hopefully boiling it into oblivion like last time.
The jars have that soft-set wobble now, the kind you can spread. Had some on the good bread this morning and it stayed put instead of running off the edge, unlike the great syrup incident.
I kept one jar back for the neighbour, who started all of this, and labelled the lid.
